Moroccan Association of Sister Cities International was created to develop cultural, economic and social exchanges and strengthen bilateral and multilateral relationships between cities in Morocco and the United States through the exchange of people and ideas. These exchanges provide each community with a stake in the construction of a modern and open society.
IDMAJ, which means integration, is a non profit association created in 2006 and composed entirely of youth volunteers from underprivileged and marginalized areas around Casablanca, particularly Sidi Moumen and Ben M’Sik
Our overall mission of the Sidi Moumen Cultural Center & Ben M’Sik Center is to encourage at risk children and vulnerable youth to stay in school and succeed in their studies. Through various activities, we help them avoid delinquency, drug addiction, terrorism and extremism. We want them to have opportunities in life, be good citizens and future leaders by offering education, life skills, a new vision of life and hope
The Sports Club for the Blind allows visually impaired athletes to participate in sport. The club fields a Goal Ball team, a sport developed for the visually impaired and played all over the world. Last year, our team won the national Championship in Goal Ball as well as Mohammed VI Cup for 2008. They have also traveled to Algeria to take part in regional tournaments. In 2008, two representatives traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado USA for an international blind student athletic tournament
